Asansol North Point School

Students of Asansol North Point School had a fortunate opportunity to meet the president of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on 14 November 2018 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The students of Scout Group of Asansol North Point School, Chanda , participated in the celebrations on Childrens Day at the presidents residence and contributed to Clean India Campaign under the supervision of Mrs. Dipika Chawra, advocate Supreme court of India. The 12th and 13th of January 2019 witnessed a series of kaleidoscopic programs presented by the students of Asansol North Point School celebrating the Annual Day. The programs were varied and rich with sparkling performances ranging from the early toddlers to the middle school children and seniors of higher secondary classes.
Amarnath Chatterjee, Chairman, Asansol Municipal corporation presided over the function as the chief guest accompanied by Swami Bharupananda Maharaj, Head Master, Ramkrishna Math, Asansol as the Guest of Honour. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Chairman Mr. Sachindranath Roy , Co-Founder Mrs. Mita Roy and the Executive Governing Body Mr. Gourab Roy. It was an opportunity provided to students to show case their latent but budding talents through cultural programs and various stalls cum exhibition on Art & Craft, Languages, Science & Technology.

Here we have yet another matter of pride and joy for the students of A.N.P.S. The students of the school from class I to class XI collected donations amounting up to Rs 40,000 for an N.G.O. called SMILE FOUNDATION, Kolkata. Its a unit doing social welfare particularly in the field of uplifting the underprivileged and the poor children by providing them education, nutrition and medical or health related services.

The students of A.N.P.S. are given all round exposure be it academics, calisthenics or athletics. Enrolment of students to sports and other physical competitive exercises has always been fruitful. So, we celebrated the Annual Sports Day on 22 December 2019. The Annual Sports Ceremony was declared open by our revered chairman Mr. Sachindra Nath Roy and the torch was lit by our co-founder Mrs. Mita Roy. The day was thrilled with enthusiasts of march pasts walking in glory and pride holding the school flag. There were a series of Novelty Races like Collect the balloons, Pass the Narrow Bridge, Hurdle & Hula Hoop Race. In addition to these, the contemporary athletic events like sprints, jumps and relay races were arranged. The special attraction of the day was the event for parents and teachers. The program was enjoyed both by parents as well as by the students.
